Near normal temperature and precipitation characterized Delaware’s climate in January 2016.
Although winter 2015-2016 was the 4th warmest since records began in 1895, it was the third year in a row with above normal snowfall.
Statewide mean annual temperature in 2015 was 1.0°F above the 1981-2010 normal of 55.4°F, and statewide precipitation in 2015 was 2.04 inches above the 1981-2010 mean of 44.33 inches.
December 2015 was the warmest on record since 1895. Above normal precipitation also characterized Delaware’s climate in December 2015.
Near normal temperatures and slightly dry conditions characterized Delaware’s Climate during autumn 2014.
November 2015 is the fourth warmest on record since 1895 and the warmest since 2003.
Delaware experienced near normal temperature and precipitation conditions during October 2015.

While statewide average temperatures were normal during August 2015, Delaware experienced the driest August since 2008.
